Bedford, MA (January 2006) - ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent, the most effective area mosquito repellent on the market, is introducing a mosquito repellent with earth scent for hunters. ThermaCELL's product, tested by the U.S. Government and shown to be up to 98% effective against mosquitoes, black flies and no-see-ums, will now offer an added bonus to hunters who desire both a mosquito repellent and a cover scent when scouting or hunting.

For bow and gun hunters, the use of cover scent is essential for both scouting and hunting. ThermaCELL's earth scent mosquito repellent effectively masks human odor in all seasons. ThermaCELL has captured the smell of musky dirt and decaying leaves to create a convincing scent that will linger up to fours hours per mat in the 15 x 15 foot protection zone created by the ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent device. Within the protection zone, ThermaCELL's earth scent mosquito repellent alleviates the need to spray clothing, sleeping bags and other valuables. Plus, hunters will not need to be concerned with refreshing their cover scent on these items.
ThermaCELL products are highly effective as they utilize a repellent that is a synthetic analog (chemical copy) of a naturally occurring insecticide, pyrethin, found in the pyrethrum flower, a member of the chrysanthemum family. These products operate on a single butane cartridge which heats a repellent and scent mat, releasing repellent and Earth Scent into the air. ThermaCELL technology was designed by the engineers at Schawbel Corporation and has been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for safety and effectiveness.
Pending EPA approval, ThermaCELL Earth Scent will be available as early as August at outdoor stores where other ThermaCELL products are sold.
