Trophy
Rock Frequently Asked Questions:
HOW DO YOU MAKE TROPHY ROCK?
Trophy Rock is not man made. What you see is what it looks like
when it is delivered out of an underground mine in Utah. Trophy Rock
is the only all-natural mineral lick on the market.
WHAT
IS TROPHY ROCK?
Trophy Rock is the only all-natural trace mineral salt supplement on
the market. Besides the salt it contains over 50 valuable minerals that
are beneficial to overall herd health and antler development.
HOW
DO I USE TROPHY ROCK?
It is not necessary to place it on a trail, the deer will find it. One
beneficial way is to place it in the top of an old stump. It will last
longer and the animals lick directly on the chunk getting more benefit
of the minerals. Do not place in a hole that will collect water. That
will shorten the lifespan plus force the animals to paw and eat the
dirt once its dissolved. Deer do not need dirt in their diet. Keep in
mind prevailing wind directions, as well as where the sun will cast
shadows when placing Trophy Rock near your stand site.
HOW
LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE ANIMALS TO FIND TROPHY ROCK?
The deer will usually find it within the first few days. Once they start
on a lick the will never stop using it. They do not use it as much during
the colder months, however, being creatures of habit they will continue
to use the trails into and around Trophy Rock when it is left out year-round.
This will increase your sightings. Remember the bucks will be in the
area looking for the does. Trophy Rock will help attract animals and
then keep them in the area, maybe avoiding other hunters on adjoining
land.
IS TROPHY
ROCK SAFE?
Trophy Rock is environmentally safe for all animals.
WHY
IS TROPHY ROCK PREFERRED BY THE ANIMALS?
We are not sure about this one! It may be the stronger salt content
and the smell/taste of the minerals. (You can taste the vast difference
between Trophy Rock and other products). The animals know the difference.
That is all that counts!
IS USING
TROPHY ROCK CONSIDERED BAITING?
Not in most states. Many states that do not allow baiting, such as Tennessee
and Alabama recognize the value of Trophy Rock to the animals and allow
its use year round. Check your local regulations to be sure before hunting
over it.
HOW
LONG WILL TROPHY ROCK LAST?
Chunks will last about 3-4 months, more or less depending on where you
place it, amount of rainfall and number of animals using it.
IS TROPHY
ROCK USEFUL FOR CENSUS TAKING?
If you use trail cameras Trophy Rock is very beneficial. Deer will come
in to it better than any "bait " including corn. Try to place
cameras 10 - 12 yards away. You will capture all the animals without scaring
the bucks. They are more wary.
