The hassle of soggy and illegible paperwork has plagued outdoor professionals for decades. Jerry Darling developed and patented "Rite in the Rain" paper to address that problem for the Pacific Northwest logging industry in the 1920's and our product has been evolving ever since.

Jerry has since passed away but his vision has expanded worldwide. Today "Rite in the Rain" is used around the globe in situations ranging from mountain climbing to environmental consulting. All-Weather Pen

Pencils work great on "Rite in the Rain". For those times when you need a pen, use the All-Weather Pen. The ideal ball point pen for use outdoors, with its pressurized ink cartridge and permanent ink. Writes underwater and upside down, and it will write in all weather conditions, even temperatures as low as - 50 F, fine point.

Rite in the Rain will sometimes not take a regular ball point pen's ink because the ball gets stuck. The smooth surface is not rough enough to get it unstuck. Easy solution: write quickly on a normal piece of paper or the back of your hand. Once the ball is unstuck, the pen will write on Rite in the Rain paper.

• Note: Standard ball point pens will skip when writing on any wet surface. For a pen that writes better while wet, try our all-weather pens.
