Eddy Lures Online |
The range
of Eddy Fishing Lures is taking the fishing lure industry by storm. Since
the original fishing lure was hand crafted from wood over 20 years ago,
the range has steadily grown as demand for fishing lures for a variety of
fishing conditions increased. Today you can choose from four models.
Today the crankbaits and jerkbaits are manufactured from tough injection-moulded plastic and feature top quality hardware to handle the toughest fish. Each fishing lure has three coats of paint and a clear outer finish. Subject to rigorous testing, each moulded lure has proven itself under the most arduous conditions, by the toughest fish in the world. The crankbaits are perfectly suited to the habitats of predatory fish such as fallen trees, weedbanks and rock outcrops. The unique 'head down' attitude the crankbait exhibits when floating, means it gets down into the strike zone fast on retrieve. Another feature is the crank bait's ability to float backwards out of snag zones, providing the unique ability to work underwater fish hiding places like no other crankbait. Today there are four exciting models to choose from, providing an ideal lure for every situation, from the 6 gram Mini Buster to the mighty 31 cm Magnum Wasp.
Using lures to their best advantage Snags/natural cover The head-down attitude that most of the range shows when floating on the surface means they dive quickly to their best depth. When the retrieve is stopped, the lures have the unique ability to float backwards. This means you can retrieve the lure up to a submerged log, stop the retrieve while the lure backs away from the log and retrieve the lure over the log as it dives quickly back down into the action zone. Moving the rod tip from side-to-side helps in increasing the action. Remember - no lure can do all the work! Slow retrieve The slow retrieve using the Stinger, Dam Busters or Wasp is ideal for flathead and other fish that hunt on sand flats. The strong wobble of the lures, even at slow speeds sets up a signal for fish to follow and a kick-up of sand that stirs up fish. Again, movement of the rod is an important part of imparting extra action to the lures. This can be especially the case when you are sight targeting fish using polarising sunglasses. Trolling |
