WeatherSeal

WeatherSeal was first introduced in 1993. It is the only exterior oil-based wood stain that has a thick, creamy, no mess consistency.

No need to purchase and store separate stain products. It's all conveniently found in a single can of WeatherSeal™.

WeatherSeal™ protects and maintains the natural wood look for a variety of outdoor wood products and structures:

    • Natural wood siding
    • Shake siding
    • Outdoor furniture
    • Pressure-treated wood
    • And most above ground wood surfaces where a long lasting, natural wood look is desired.

Thicker, Richer, And Full Of Protection

  • A tough, durable barrier against weather.
100% oil/resin based with special performance boosters to provide additional protection against the elements.
  • Shields the wood against harmful UV rays.
UV blocking transparent iron oxide pigments give WeatherSealÔ its translucent beauty while maintaining the natural wood look for a longer period of time.
  • Exceptional water resistance.
Protects the wood fibers against the extremes of wet/dry and freeze/thaw cycles.
  • Resists discoloration.
Holds color longer and helps keep the coated surface looking clean and unblemished.
  • Fortified with Borates.
Formulated with over 3% sodium borate to help replenish some of the borate salts that have a tendency to wash off the surface of uncoated, borate treated wood
  • Low VOC clean air formula.

Continental Products Guides

Continental was the first manufacturer of log home coatings to provide an in-depth approach to log home maintenance with the introduction in 1984 of its well known and highly regarded booklet titled "Guide to Maintaining Log Structures". In addition to "The Guide", Continental wrote another helpful booklet for the homeowner titled "User’s Guide". It’s a booklet that provides detailed information on how to best apply our exterior log home coatings. Both these booklets are an integral part of Continentals quality control program.

TranSeal Traditional clear wood varnish

TranSeal Traditional

There are many homeowners and woodworkers who still prefer the look, the feel, and the application of the "Traditional" oil-based polyurethane varnishes to the newer water-based technology. That preference is now once again possible with the introduction of TranSeal Traditional.

TranSeal Traditional™ is a high solids oil-modified polyurethane clear wood varnish that is designed for use on all interior bare wood surfaces including kitchen cabinetry, molding, paneling, log walls and front entrance doors that are not directly exposed to the elements. It is NOT recommended for wood floors. It cures to a durable transparent coating that's easy to clean and maintain. 2 coats are recommended for best performance and appearance.
