The Artist

A self taught artist, Travis has been a full time wildlife artist for eleven years, specializing in big game animals from all over North America. Peterson has won thirteen first place awards at the Minnesota State Taxidermy competition since 1995. With wins in peoples and judged divisions. Each sculpture is hand patina'd by the artist with an acid based patina and has been sealed with a 20 year sealer to protect the bronze from tarnish.

 

 After years of research and experimenting, Travis Peterson has developed a method for producing incredibly detailed bronze statues at a fraction of both cost and weight, when compared to traditionally poured or cast bronze sculptures.

Travis creates each and every sculpture by hand, and from scratch. The incredible detail and obvious craftsmanship of his work speaks for itself. Travis is a true master of the medium.
