| Who assigns the Stars? |
Past clients do by filling
out surveys. |
| What is the maximum score? |
100 - [10 questions worth 10 points each]

| What is the highest and lowest
# Star? |
5 is the maximum and 1 is
the minimum (or un-rated). |

The" TOP RATED SURVEYS" - each
survey contains 10 questions tailored to each specific outdoor activity
- with a maximum score of 10 points for each question, 100 points
total.

How long does it take to complete a surveys?

One minute or so using the slider.

Who makes sure that people don't file 'fake' surveys?

We keep a constant eye on
the flow of surveys filed and, if there is a need, we investigate
the matter. |
| When I file a survey is my
name kept confidential? |
Of course. |
| How many surveys can I file? |
You can rate as many companies
as you like as long as you had a legitimate 'first hand experience'
with them. |
How do the words (poor, mediocre & excellent
for example) convert to a numerical score?

1 = unacceptable
2 = inadequate
3 = poor
4 = acceptable
5 = as expected
6 = mediocre
7 = good
8 = very good
9 = excellent
10 = outstanding

| How does the score relate
to number of Stars awarded? |
1 Star = 0-34% (or non-rated)
2 Stars = 35-49%
3 Stars = 50-69%
4 Stars = 70-89%
5 Stars = 90-100%

| Do you calculate the ranking/score
as an average of all Surveys received? |
That is correct, we use the
"arithmetic mean" which is what is commonly called the average.

| How do you calculate the
Level of Accuracy? |
Level of Accuracy is the ratio between the Number
of Clients per year/Number of Surveys received for a given company.

| How are the records shown? |
Results from ANY search will
show 5 Stars on top in descending order. |
| Is Top Rated a U.S.A.-only
Directory? |
No, it covers the Whole World
although the majority are from North America. |
| Why do some records show a
picture and a different layout? |
These are the Preferred Listings. |
| How often is the directory
updated? |
Both information and ranking
are updated daily. |
